eLearning Modules

This resource is a result of the collaborative partnership between the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario and the White Ribbon Campaign, which has resulted in the development of e-learning modules for elementary school teachers and students. The e-learning modules are quite comprehensive and interactive, in terms of the variety of lessons, the strategies for classroom use, the statistics, the historical timeline about gender issues in Canada, and are all within reach of the teacher’s fingertips. Educators can choose a range of options depending on their situation (e.g. comfort level, time, who their children are or the communities they teach in, etc.)

The eLearning modules are linked to the Ontario curriculum and will help educators address issues around healthy relationships, gender issues, homophobia and sexism. They are another tool for educators to implement the Ministry of Education’s Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy, as ETFO members continue to create and develop safe and welcoming classrooms for all learners.
