CONTROL YOUR FUTURE: Your First Stop

Finding it hard to keep up with the latest collective bargaining news and information? Have questions about bargaining, but not sure where to get answers? Staying informed can be a challenge: ETFO's Control Your Future website (controlyourfuture.ca) makes it easier than ever.
Key to ETFO's collective bargaining communications strategy, the Control Your Future website is designed to educate ETFO members about collective bargaining and its significance to their professional and personal lives. Within the Control Your Future website are a number of easy-to-access sources of information, including: Latest Bargaining News; Video Room; Frequently Asked Questions; Bargaining Goals background information; and more.
A collective bargaining app, the first of its kind for any Canadian union, can also be downloaded from the Control Your Future website, making information that was previously accessible only through a computer now available from members’ smart phones and tablets. The app provides updated bargaining news, FAQs, podcasts, a calendar of events and a direct contact link to ETFO's Collective Bargaining Department.
For more information please visit http://www.controlyourfuture.ca/. Questions and requests to obtain additional copies of the pamphlet can be directed to Lisa Mastrobuono, extension 2512, lmastrobuono@etfo.org, at the provincial office.

ETFO AQ/PQP Calendar 2012-2013
ETFO-AQ delivers top quality teacher professional learning at the reasonable price of $650 per course. Since its launch two years ago, over 11,000 teachers have taken an AQ or PQP course.
The phenomenal feedback and word of mouth praise are critical to the program's success. Candidates praise the instructors' skills at creating supportive, informative, and innovative learning environments, and the practical, current, and relevant course material. There are 60 courses currently offered, and two new courses: Occasional Teacher, and Student Assessment and Evaluation.
As well as exciting Destination AQ Institutes in France and Italy, ETFO will offer the Ontario Summer Professional Learning Institute in July 2013. This institute will provide the opportunity for teachers to pursue their professional learning in dance, drama, kindergarten, music, physical education, and visual arts. Candidates will learn on-line in the spring of 2013, and then apply their learning during the two-week destination component of the AQ in a residential setting – the perfect balance of a teacher's professional and personal lives.
For more details view this flyer or the ETFO-AQ website. If you have any questions, please contact Jerry DeQuetteville, extension 2289, jdequetteville@etfo.org, at the provincial office.
