Dear Ultimate Block Party Volunteer,

On behalf of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, I want to sincerely thank you for helping to make ETFO’s Ultimate Block Party such a resounding success. Our goal was to introduce the importance of play to families, parents and educators, and your assistance made the achievement of that goal possible.

From site logistics to crowd control, to assisting our education partners and delivering our message about the importance of play on a one-one basis to those attending the event, your work was the backbone of the Ultimate Block Party on June 5th.

So many people commented on how everyone working at the site was so helpful, positive and upbeat. It made the experience such a positive and joyful one for the thousands of families and children attending the event.

ETFO’s Ultimate Block Party was an ambitious undertaking but it achieved many good things. Along with educating families, it put a spotlight on play-based learning as the focus of Ontario’s new full day Kindergarten. It brought together an amazing group of education partners who understand and value the role of play. And it reaffirmed ETFO as a leading advocate of play-based learning in North America.

Those are significant and lasting achievements, and we have you to thank for helping make the day such a success. I hope you had as much fun as I did, along with the families and children who attended.  It was a play date to remember!
