Member Advisory - Annual Meeting 2011
TORONTO, August 12, 2011 – Close to 800 members will attend the 2011 Annual Meeting of the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel from August 15-18. They will debate and set policies and directions for the Federation, and elect the 2011-2013 Provincial Executive.
The ETFO meeting will feature addresses by Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty as well as Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath.
The Social Justice speaker for this year is Dr. Elaine Bernard, Executive Director, Labour and Worklife Program, Harvard Law School. Dr. Bernard is one of America's foremost advocates of public services as wealth creators, and the role of unions in promoting civil liberty and democracy.
