With the release of the new Ontario Math Curriculum, this webcast focuses on how we can integrate coding and computational thinking within our classroom culture. Although the content examples are based around Intermediate Grades Mathematics, the same concepts and ideas shared, can be used and modified for any grade level. After decoding the curriculum expectations and it's new terminology, we explore how to complete some math challenges (with and without technology) and how coding ultimately can serve as a platform to extend higher-level thinking, a way to visualize tough problems, and inspire valuable resilience and core value skills in the classroom and beyond.
