The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) says that teachers, not EQAO tests, are best able to assess student performance and growth and provide the feedback students need to succeed.

More than 500 delegates attending the annual meeting of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) voted today to donate $10,000 for Pakistan flood relief.

Martin Long, president of the Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT) has received ETFO’s prestigious 2010 President’s Award. The award, presented by President Sam Hammond at the Federation’s 2010 annual meeting, recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to ETFO.
