Bill 78: Brief to the Standing Committee on Social Policy

On May 8, 2006 President Emily Noble responded on behalf of the Federation to the Standing Committee on Social Policy hearings on Bill 78, the Education Statute Amendment Act (Student Performance) 2006. The bill includes proposals to support beginning teachers, expand the regulatory authority of the government over school boards, and change the structure and operation of the Ontario College of Teachers.
