LGBT Take Action Kit

ETFO has produced an LGBT Take Action Kit (English, French) providing 10 ways that locals and teachers can create a safe, supportive school community environment for all students including LGBT and questioning students, for teachers, and for families.  The kit was developed in response to feedback from the LGBT standing committee members, who identified the need for additional resources teachers could use at the classroom and school level.

It brings together a list of all the ETFO resources, workshops, and promotional items that are available to assist locals in undertaking and supporting LGBT activities. It also provides related websites and articles that offer relevant information to help locals get started with their activities.

LGBT materials have been translated into French and feature resources and initiatives for schools like Pink Day as well as support for Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs). One copy of the Action Kit was handed out to each delegate at Annual Meeting.
