Educating for Global Citizenship
An ETFO Curriculum Development Inquiry Initiative

ETFO staff—in collaboration with Dr. Mark Evans and Dr. Kathryn Broad and their graduate students at OISE/UT—created a community of practice of ETFO members who wished to develop and field test a resource handbook for the teaching of global education.

Educating for Global Citizenship (3 mb)

With great pride, we announce the launch of our new eBook Educating for Global Citizenship. This resource includes teacher-authors’ individual or group units, modified by curriculum inquiry and peer review, and provides many links to resources.

The authors invite ETFO members to download the book and try out the ideas in their classrooms and tell us if this resource helped inspire elementary students to examine their roles as global citizens. We welcome your feedback and would appreciate your sharing with us any modifications or additions that you have made to these chapters.
