Stop Virtual School Now!

The use of virtual learning was intended to be a temporary measure designed to deliver emergency schooling during the peak of COVID-19 and the global pandemic. Yet, virtual learning continues in Ontario as several school boards have unilaterally made decisions to offer school online.

Since 2018, we have witnessed how the Ford government’s outsourcing of learning to online and private options and an ongoing reduction of public funding to the public education system have created conditions for private or virtual schooling. It is a lose-lose scenario for students in Ontario, and we can’t sit back to allow it to happen.

ETFO refuses to allow the integrity and quality of student learning to be fractured beyond repair. Help us challenge the Ford government’s privatization agenda in public education and put an end to the use of virtual learning for elementary students.

ACT NOW!

Contact your school board trustees and your MPP to say NO to virtual school programs.
