ETFO extends its support and solidarity to the 4,000 members of OECTA’s Toronto Elementary Catholic Teachers Bargaining Unit (OECTA-TECT) as they withdraw services and prepare to initiate full strike action against the Toronto Catholic District School Board in order to reach a fair collective agreement. Potential strike action is scheduled for January 31, 2022.

ETFO and OECTA members remain united in the goal of protecting Ontario’s internationally-recognized public education system and ensuring that students receive the quality education and services they deserve.

ETFO asks its members to ensure that striking OECTA-TECT members know they are not alone by:
