ETFO to hold Annual Meeting August 17 to 20

TORONTO, ON – More than 800 public elementary educators will attend the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) between August 17 and 20 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.
ETFO President David Mastin will deliver an update on bargaining and brief delegates on the challenges that lie ahead as the Federation defends public education and the rights of its members.
At the Annual Meeting, ETFO members from across the province will set policies and directions for the coming year, receive reports and financial statements, and debate and vote on motions.

ETFO represents approximately 84,000 members, including public elementary teachers, occasional teachers, designated early childhood educators, education support personnel, and professional support personnel.
Note to Media: The President’s opening address and closing remarks will be open to accredited media. Education union presidents will join President Mastin during his opening remarks in a show of solidarity in the fight to defend public education.
